Brisbane Airport Corporation Emergency Vehicle Fit Out Project

Bella Manufacturing has teamed up with Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) to design a state-of-the-art Emergency Incident Response Vehicle (IRV), offering a sustainable and innovative solution for emergency communication, coordination, and control within the airport precinct.

On regular days, the IRV operates as a standard airside vehicle, but during an emergency it swiftly transforms into a high-tech command centre. Equipped with essential tools for emergency response, it becomes a Forward Command Post (FCP) that allows seamless collaboration between agencies like the Australian Federal Police, Queensland Police, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service, Queensland Fire and Ambulance Services.

This eco-friendly IRV, powered as an electric vehicle (EV), is loaded with cutting-edge features, including:

• A roll-out awning for instant shade and shelter
• A fold-down shelf with an integrated whiteboard
• Overhead storage for crucial gear such as traffic cones, chargers, office supplies, high-visibility vests, cleaning kits, and first-aid essentials
• Two office chairs with a benchtop and storage drawers
• Three 24-inch monitors for real-time monitoring and communication
• A built-in fridge for essential supplies
• LED strip lighting, air conditioning, solar panels, a fire extinguisher, and a generator

True to Bella Manufacturing’s custom-built designs, the IRV is crafted to meet precise needs, ready for rapid deployment to incident sites, where it serves as the operational hub for multiple agencies to coordinate swift and efficient emergency response.
