NCACCH Mobile Medical Clinic
The North Coast Aboriginal Corporation for Community Health (NCACCH) provides health services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region, with a goal of bringing the status of Indigenous health up to mainstream standards by providing high quality and accessible primary health services.
Bella Manufacturing were delighted to work with the team to create a custom 5-metre pod made from Australian steel, 50mm cool room panel and R-9 commercial vinyl flooring. It’s designed for rear entry via the stairs and also includes a wheelchair elevation platform. The interior is air conditioned and comprises a desk with wall-mounted computer screen, Starlink fitted and cabinets to serve as a work station for health professionals, a retractable medical grade privacy screen and a consulting table. Outside are roof mounted solar panels and a motorised awning for shade, with a removable bench for waiting patients to sit.
The mobile medical clinic was designed to align with the NCACCH mission to provide culturally appropriate health care services that are accessible across a 7000sq kilometre region. A small truck does just the job, able to move about among communities as required to meet the needs of this priority population.
